Daniel Howard

Daniel Howard maintains a busy law practice across several areas of law: criminal defence litigation, mental health law, including consent and capacity board hearings, and residential real estate matters.

Mr. Howard has extensive experience defending all manner of criminal charges. He has conducted numerous trials at all levels of court in Ontario. He has also successfully negotiated countless favourable resolutions for his clients, including the withdrawal of criminal charges. While based in Ottawa, he appears regularly in courts across Eastern Ontario, including Renfrew, Pembroke, Cornwall, Brockville, and L’Orignal.  He also appears regularly before the Ontario Review Board and the Consent and Capacity Board.

On the solicitor’s side of his practice, he provides a variety of services to real estate clients, including:

• Residential purchases and sales
• Title transfers
• Mortgage refinances

Mr. Howard believes in being accessible to and communicating with his clients, and keeps them fully informed on all aspects of their cases.

David Howard

David was born and raised in Ottawa. Since his call to the bar in 2015, David has devoted his practice to the areas of family law and wills/estates. David has extensive experience in litigation, having conducted numerous trials and many motions.

Whether dealing with complex financial issues or high conflict parenting cases, David provides clients with sound legal advice tailored to their unique situation.

David accepts Legal Aid Certificates and is a strong proponent of access to justice. David offers services to clients on a sliding scale.
